When I made the pattern for this bunny
I realised I’d neglected to include the headband which I had intended to do so here is that headband (or a version of it that seems to work nicely)
For the flowers (make as many as you like):
1. Using nice bright orange/yellow yarn, make 10sc in an adjustable loop (I use the double method but whichever method you are happy with) here:
2. Using a white/cream yarn, make a slip knot and pull this through the first of the sc in the ring and the loop still on the hook, closing the circle then chain 2

2. (dc, 2sc, dc, ch2) in the next sc of the circle (catch the ends of the two colours between the stitches before trimming up)

3. (sl.st, ch2) in the next sc of the circle

4. Repeat step 2 and 3 to make another 4 petals but don’t ch2 at the end of the last one, instead, take the loop of the hook, then insert the hook from the back to the front and pull the loop to the back. Cut the yarn and pull the end through the loop, then through a couple of the stitches to secure and hide.

For the leafy garland:
1. Make a chain long enough to go round whatever it is you want it to go round, then add 10sc

2. Starting from the 2nd chain from the hook sl.st (slip stitch) into the back loop only of the next 20 or so chains (however many you think you will need to tie it up with)

3. In the next chain (or wherever you want to place a leaf) chain 6.

4. slip stitch into (back loop) 2nd from this chain and in the remaining 4 chains.

5. Keeping the same side up, cross over into the unworked front loop of the 6 chain for sc, 3hdc, sc to get you to the tip of the leaf

6. Chain 2 and slip stitch into the back loop of the 2nd of these to make your leaf tip

7. sc, 3hdc, sc in the back loop only to make the other side of the leaf and slip stitch in

8. For a single leaf just carry on the original starting chain from there
Slip stitch into the opposite side of the starting chain (front loop) and start from step 3 to get a leaf on the opposite side – just watch that you don’t accidentally twist your starting chain or it will start to look a bit muddled.
Making up
You can actually attach the flowers as you go by catching them into the slip stitches on the stem but it’s just as easy to sew them on afterwards.
and that’s about it.
